Positive feedback for my article on building the barquentine Bellmore in the current issue of Model Boats has now started to come in which is very satisfying, as it was quite a task to draw up the plans and produce the article.

My writing career began over 40 years ago with my first articles in Model Boats in the days of typewriters and carbon paper. How times change.face 1

Bob. I have never had much in the way of feedback for any articles in MB, other than forum members, so you are doing well! Ashley

You are lucky to get any feedback at all, it is very rare.

I was pleased to oblige. Off to Northwest Model Shipwrights today, so it will be interesting to see if any of them comment as quite a few are subscribers.

Further to the above, we are meeting at 1100 this morning (Friday 23rd November, 2018), in Grimsargh Lancs, here

                            **LINK**

In the church hall (Caton Room). There is plenty of free parking. We break for lunch at 1230, some going to the local pub, others taking packed lunches. Start again at 1345 and finish about 1530. Wives/partners/ accompanied children all welcome as guests (free entry as guests). Toilet facilities, coffee and tea facilities available on site. No stairs. Generally a good day out with lively talks about model shipbuilding and other subjects. Today, I will be demonstrating the 75-year-old radio set that I have recently restored to working order.

                              Hi All

I have feedback if somebody thinks I've drawn the plan with a mistakes but having built the prototype from the plan it can't be that far out , so sometimes silence is golden

                              Regards Ray

I never got to the meeting today!sad I set off in good time, and was three-quarter way there when I came across a police roadblock that would be in place for some considrable time. I was unable to find my way there by an alternative route, so came home again.

I got a copy of Model Boats this morning, and was very pleased to see my article "Bellmore" Part I has turned out very well. I was also pleased to see that my new (2nd hand) camera has produced some very good images. It is a Fujifilm Finepix S200EXR digital that I got from one of those Cash Converter shops. I take the photographs with the camera on a short tripod set to automatic so it takes the picture 2 seconds after I press the button. Camera settings 100 ISO at F8 and whatever shutter speed the camera selects on those settings. Probably obsolete by now, but it is the best camera I have ever had. I certainly don't regret the demise of the film camera.
