Hi Lads

I cutout the windows from an old flo lights for the rear cabin and perplex for the forward wheelhouse.

A small window of good weather for us in late Autumn, the next is getting paint on the bottom of the hull.

As I have no idea of the waterline, I am only going to oxide red up to the spray railings.

We are looking forward to Autumn, we might be allowed out twice a day by then. If we are lucky and behave ourselves in the meantime!

We are still in lockdown and our state government is going look at opening up in a slower speed because of our older high number of elder people in the state.

:Lucky I am only 70 !!!

Main trouble is so many plans , so many builds and so long to get fittings waiting for!!!

Hi All and The Spell checker

Spay painted the hull before another cold front hits Tassie again .

While the paint is harding up, I can work on the cabin.

Waiting on servo's, motor, ESC and some receivers.

The 28mm motors are not handling the prop I have, so running them at 65%.

The new 35mm is slower rpm but with more power.

I have not had this motor before, so I will give it a go.

Sorry if it's a bit like calling out the Emperor's New Clothes but I've suspected since the start of your thread that this isn't actually a Perkasa and your shots of the bow from underneath have confirmed that. PK has a massive concave flare each side of the bow, and no spray rails. The bottom of the hull at the transom is flat while yours has a noticeable vee shape, and the foredeck is more rounded than your model, which is quite "pointy".

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what Harry's model might be?

I check the deck was the same as my two Perkasa's, also length and width.

The bow was incorrect, I though it was because of the wooden hull.

I totally change the shape of the bottom into a vee.

It did not have chine or spray rails so I added them.

I have to get the rear section finish so I can install the top rear window before adding the wheelhouse roof.

Hi All

Well we are back in the water !!!

Eight members turn up(limit is 10), cracking day with three new boats in the water.

The cabin cruiser was first tested on 3S 5000mah Lipo and O-boy I got it right !!!

The Surpass C3542-1250kv is a dam good motor !!!

It turn the 2 blade CNC 32mm prop with no trouble.

After a rudder trim change the boat track near straight.

As I was only running a 60A ESC and the specs say the motor draws 65Amps, I was repaired with a 100A ESC.

But as I had no trouble, I reprogram the ESC to 4S !!!

I for a penny, in for a pound !!!

The boat is a rocket on 4S and sits with the last 150mm 0n the water.

The ESC handle it OK with a lot of full fast runs.

Turning is better than the original hull with less bow dig in.

So it's back in the workshop to get finished.

Three of us gave the boat a real workout !!!

We all drive it like it as stolen and some of the turns are more burnouts!!!!

A great day out from lockdown and we made the best of it!!!
