I run a boat with 2 x 12v batteries for the motors, wired in parallel for long running.

I would like to add a smoke machine that requires 24v to operate correctly, Is there any way that I can use the same two batteries and if there is , how do I do it?

If I need any diodes or similar, what values do I need to fit?

Put simply, no. Either another 12v battery, or a circuit to boost the 12 volts up to 24 while being capable of supplying the current required. This might need considerable googling.

Both Component-Shop and Marks Model Bits can supply a 12v-24v DC/DC converter for this job.
