      building boat just now has 534-23 low drain motor fitted 6v lead acid battery but what speed controller to use . as last time i made a boat it was a bobs board or Hi-Tec sp6/10A that was used

          A 10A speed controller will be fine. I would recommend buying a British-made type as many of the imported ones you can find on E-Bay – although temptingly cheap – are of dubious quality and have no service or warranty guarantees. ACTion, Electronize, MTroniks and Microgyros are all OK.

            other question i have a hi-tec sp6/10A thats only half working.motor only turning one way with full control.

              It's dead – unless you only want to go ahead (or astern). Also maximum of 7.2v.
