        Hi Andra

E bay is a strange land where many bargains can be found but you can also be ripped off by paying a large amount of money for what is basically a bit of tat, as in all things at any auction its a case of buyer beware.

This particular item is a mass produced toy probably from China / Taiwan it is not intended to be a serious model but more a bit of fun, they are imported into this country by the container load.

If what you are looking for is a serious scale model of a warship then avoid it but if what you are after is a large fun and easy to use toy then this is just right. It all depends upon who is going to use it.

If it is a big toy that you want then find the best deal that you can and bid on it.

Hope this is of some help.

        Paul

Andra. I have seen these in the flesh and they look jolly good to me. I would agree with the Fat controller that is a "fun" thing,  the main drawback being it would be unable to operate alongside anyone with a proper r/c transmittyer as it the signal is bound to be swamped. Ashley

nb They do a "russian aircraft carrier" as well which really looks good, and would look really excellent on the pond IF, and its a big if, some proper r/c gear could be installed. I recently motorised the  IOWA type battleship that Argos sell (£15) thats about 25" long and it looks fab offshore!

Yeah, what they said. I’ve been tempted to buy one on ebay, but the shops selling them are trying to rip you off with a selling price of $9.99 then charge shipping of $34.99! That’s got to be in violation of ebay’s policies.

Perhaps I’ll find one in the toy district in LA, then I’ll do a review on one. It sure begs for proper r/c treatment and detailing. It looks like you’re getting a rendition of a Soveremny class Russian destroyer. Black Sea Fleet, anyone?
