In answer to Roberto’s question, no, the drawings in Paul Somers’ book are not sufficient to produce a model.
The best plans are on two rolls of microfilm at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland. They are rolls 32138-1 and 32144-2 and cost US$65-70 each. Then you need a microfilm reader and printer.

Look down the list at the end of the Aircraft Carrier section for G-IX64. I cannot vouch for the quality of their prints. I am fortunate enough to work with first generation copies from the original drawings.
One last sticking point, neither the USS WOLVERINE nor USS SABLE were aircraft carriers. They were aircraft training vessels. They had an IX designation (unclassified) rather than the CVx assigned to true aircraft carriers.
