I have a Skektrum 5 channel 2.4 transmiter. Is it possible to set it up so that the throttle stick centers it self in the middle so it is between forward and reverse.

at presnt the throttle is notched thru its travel

Charles, yes is the simple answer.

You will require the spring kit for the unit and then you have to open up the transmitter and remove the bar that engages with the ratchet, and then insert the spring mechanism exactly as it's set up on the other stick.

can I ask "Is this a second hand set?"

Can others advise please, is not the default to have both sticks on centering springs and change over to ratchet if required by the user?

Another question for you Charles, is the throttle on the left or right hand stick as you look at the set in use?

I had the same issue when I first bought my Spektrum Tx so it seems that Spektrum default to fitting ratchets on both sticks. I as Charles, wanted the throttle to centre itself in the middle of forward and reverse as this means never having to worry about where the stick is when switching on. I guess Spektrum build their TX with an eye to aero throttles where you need to start the engine with a fairly low throttle setting. BTW getting the spring hooked onto the stick is a nightmare, I had to take the whole stick unit out to see what I was doing.
