Ok question for you all .after cracking open the box for the revel Tirpitz i have a choice of two paint colour schemes both a sort of dazzle pattern BUT according to Janes fighting ships of ww2 it seems o be a battle ship grey all over so any suggestions ,also i am going to have it as a single screw on a small motor .

I think, strictly speaking, you need to determine which year you want the ship to represent and paint it in the appropriate colours. I would imagine when it was first built it was grey all over. ??

In any event I would pick the one LEAST used by the many millions of Tirpitz`s out there!

The Nelson I built has been finished in one of at least 3 different camo patterns I could have chosen. I picked the one I liked best (as I am a stickler for detail)

Here is a link to a great site on the tirpitz

It details all the paint schemes…
