      Hi guys , i am forwarding this e-mail from Iain at CADMA.

      Hi would you please circulate amongst your members the following:

      Stolen models Askern Lake Sunday 22.12.13
      On a visit to Askern lake two members boats became stranded on the island
      opposite the cafe. Efforts were made to recover the same but to no avail,
      as darkness fell for safety the recovery attempt had to be abandoned until
      the following day.

      It is known that at 5.30 am the following day the boats had gone.

      The boats are

      1: MFA spearfish, white hull, blue deck, fitted 1100Kv brushless motor
      and 12v 7ah battery, mystry 70amp water cooled esc. Reported to police against crime number A120912-13

      2:Marblehead yacht, STARKERS carbon fibre hull and skeg/rudder.Red and
      green hatch covers. Swing rig sails with the number 05 thereon. Spektrum orange 6ch receiver. Crime number A120920-2013.

      If anyone has any information please contact South Yorks Police on phone
      no. 101 quoting the crime number. Also please inform Iain Paterson CADMA
      secretary.

          Now that is not very nice. Who would steal a model boat. I don't live near there, surrey man, but I hope they find the boats. I know how much work goes into them.

            Apparently the boats have now been recovered safely. They had been 'rescued' by a local driving instructor in a rubber dinghy but his message to that effect had apparently been overlooked.

            All's well that ends well!
