Sound Unit

Can anyone supply information on a Sound Master Triple Expansion Steam Engine unit from RC Model Workshop? This has a small fan/15w amp attached and was working before removal from an old boat but I have been unable to get it going since. There is a 3 wire/connector to a receiver running from the unit and 4 wires from the fan/amp – red & black presumably to power and 2 mauve to a speaker. There are connecting points on both items so it seems additional units could be attached. I'm told this was produced some years ago by a gentleman who then disappeared off the radar so the chances of obtaining an instruction leaflet are virtually nil. Any assistance would be very welcome.
