Hi
I hope you don't mind me joining the forum solely to help me identify a pair of hulls I rescued from local recycling centre.
I have exhausted all my options and have come up with nothing! they were clearly being scratch built rather than anything from billing, deans etc
I've attached some photo's to see if you can help with the boat identification even down to a class or type especially the scottish trawler? (that's the closest i've been able to see looking like the hull).
The motor boat/ pleasure craft thing I will in all honesty just put on ebay it's got a Graupner 600Motor, propshaft and screw fitted and the rudder/tiller just requires pushrods and RC fitting….some refinement to the exisiting scratch build and I would imagine it's a fun little beginner boat…Motor boat is 33"
However, it's the other one which I'm really interested in, I was going to make myself a wooden Star 45 (static display) this winter, but I think I will finish what was started here, the striking thing about the hull (to me anyway) is the pronounced tear drop shape the stern being much wider than the bow.
When searching images traditional scottish trawlers seem to come up as matching the shape of the model from the water line. However, I've not been able to really work out what scale the model is to even begin looking for plans which I can begin thinking about a build.
The 'trawler' is 38"
Any help would be greatly appreciated
