        Hi All

Just got unfinished one with brass props.

        No motors!!!

        No plans or info !!!

If someone has a PDF of the plans or info would you be so kind to email me ???

I have two 540 80 Turn Rock Crawler ones which run 5,500 rpm on 7.2 volts or 9,000 rpm on 11.1 volts(unloaded).

Also have a pair of Hobbywing Quicrun 60Amp ESC's and both 2 and 3S lipo batteries.

          Hi Harry,

if you go onto the Billings Denmark website you should be able to find a full set of instructions – no plans but usually show all the parts – and the instructions have drawings which show all you need.

First I would like to thank redpmg for pointing me to the Billings Website.

That is wot this forum is about, helping fellow members.

Well I pickup the boat this morning.

Only a few bits broken off and the three vents missing from the stern.

Will be interesting to drive with Nozzles and Becker rudders.

Nice one Harry – where do you manage to find all these boats ? Never found anything here in SA.

Always a pleasure to help – had a lot of help myself from this Forum.

                Hi red

                South Australia ???

The boat was from a local auction site .

The white over paint removed from one boat name which was a pain !!!

Matt black and heading into the same look as the stern name plate.

Ripped out the motor mounts and making a stand for the boat.

                Made new alloy motor mounts.

Also making a stand for the boat.

                  Hi All

Regluing the motor mount base back down to the hull.

Drilled eight holes in it and adding filler foam to stiffen up the hull bottom.

Main job today was making a boat stand, also added 30mm door stoppers under the stand for feet.

                    Finally got the stand finished.

The filler foam has work out well (under the plywood base)and should make a solid platform for the motors, etc.

Starting on the rudder servo mount next and melting some lead for the weights.

No idea of weight I will require !!!

The boat ramp is only a 1/4 Km from home .

                      Hi All

First dip in the water today to add the ballast.

Also added servo mount and setup the radio system for tank steering.

I wonder if there is any discernible difference in performance between squared off prop-ends and ordinary props when running in cowls?

Good work as usual Harry. Boat ramp only 1/4 km (whatever that is) from home…ah, boating on demand…

                          Hi Ashley

I think it would make a difference, mainly blade area.

Yes a full scale boat ramp to launch cabin cruisers/ tinnies, etc.

Fully installed the drive systems with silicon grease in the shafts and thread lock on the proips.

Mounted the two 4000mah Lipo batteries.

Removed the red wire from the second ESC/ mounted the ESCs and receiver.

After mounting the batteries the lead blocks would not fit each side !!!

I cut one down( it had more weight than the other) and fits OK.

The bow weights are round, so change them to recut bits.

A little hit or two with the 2 pound hammer and a touch with the file, nice fit.

So I have mess up my ballast test a bit !!!!

                            Hi All

On my second outing with the boat after a leak in the prop tubes were only glue on the tops inside the hull .

Ye I missed that one !!!

All leaks fix up and Oh boy this tank steering is a total blast, donuts around a mooring post and turning in it's own length !!!

                            Harry
PS For Ashley 29C on Friday !!!
