Ponds in South Wales

Hello, I’m new to the site, but have been collecting model boats for many years. I’m trying to find a pond to sail a yacht somewhere near where I now live, in South Wales. Does anyone know of one, please? Thanks in advance.

Hi Alan i’m Andy from Cardiff.South wales is a big country can you be a bit more specific with areas ??? OK lets start with Cardiff to start Roath Park on a sunday home to cardiff marine modellers next cosmeston lakes then the other way you have cwmbran and the moat at caerphilly castle.In newport there is tredegar house which i have used afew times and i think the cwmbran boys get there once a week and Newport model engineers club which have a lake,of sorts !!!!!! yet to be dug out and lined, to be honest they are more of a steam and electric railway club.

Hi Andy I did reply to your last posting, but it doesn’t seem to be showing on here. Once again, thanks for the info. Things have been quite hectic recently & I haven’t had a chance to visit any of the ;places you mentioned. But I will, & I’ll let you know how I get on. Best regards Alan.

Hi alan ,no worries m8 i’ve been busy at work myself and have neglected my pt boat.I hope to get a good deal on an e boat at weymouth,would love to have a crack a that !!!!
