When I first saw this I thought 'colonial river steamer' and Lulonga. Lulonga was a stern wheeler drawn, I think, by David Metcalfe and published in Model Boats back in the eighties or nineties. Without the lavendar hull Wibo would look more like a river steamer.

I don't think it matters at all that it doesn't represent a real ship (or boat)- it's fun!

A few more pics of the vessel stripped down. Is the motor a good one as I was told?

I can't give an opinion on this, but if you put:

hectoperm motor 6 volt 0.8 amps

in Google search, you will find a few people that have given their views on them. Apparently, they cost about £19!

              No, Bob, they don't.
If the stock exists then this is more typical of what you would be expected to pay for one (if you were daft enough)

Don't expect to get this sort of price from the tyre-kickers on E-Bay though. They were the best scale model boat motors once upon a time, but that was thirty or even forty years ago.

As I said "apparently" but I only got that from the link I posted. Not being into R/C, I just don't know!

I would be into R/C if there was some suitable water nearby, but there isn't!

I found the complete Min & Bill movie on U-Tube. Unfortunately, it is dubbed in Russian. I skimmed through it, but there are no distance views of the SS Down the Hatch, just a few onboard.

Here it is, for what it's worth!
