Hi, bit of a newbie to the site. I'm starting on an rc conversion on a revell PCF. Have sorted out how to do it, but need a couple of 16mm dia 4 bladed 2mm threaded props. Has anyone any idea where I might obtain in the UK. Have found Harbor Models in USA but have tried most model shops can think of, but no luck in UK.

I think it might be worth your while to have a gander at the Prop Shop (**LINK**) – if I've understood their numbering conventions correctly for example their Standard Scale (**LINK**) propeller STD/0675/4/LH/BR has a diameter of 0.6 inches = 15.24 mm and is normally provided with an M2 thread.

They are not inexpensive, but from what I've understood deliver goods of corresponding quality.

          Good luck,

          /Mattias

            Mike,

A very quick scan of internet the smallest I could find is 20 mm diameter, 4 bladed prop with 2 mm shaft :

Hi Mattias, Saw those in prop shop but couldn't understand their sizing, but now you've explained it looks good, price is not bad as with VAT works out about £12. Those I found in USA are about £13 and then there is VAT and no doubt extra charges to pay, so should save me about £15 all being well. Thankyou Mattias.

                  You're most welcome, Mike!

Just to make sure that I don't inadvertently lead you astray, the propeller I mentioned as an example is, I would assume from the "LH" part later in the string, probably left hand rotating, and there is also a prop (otherwise identical) that is right hand rotating. The front page of the Prop Shop website says that rotation is based on the UK/Us standard, which apparently is opposite the German one … I don't remember off the top of my head what this means, but one thing it obviously does mean is that one needs to make sure one gets the appropriate kind for whatever one happens to be building.

                  /Mattias

If you can settle for 3 bladed instead, there is a good range at Dean's Marine
