Hi Randy,

As I said previously the deck line stringer is the important line to maintain it looks like 5 may need packing up from the board ?, I suggest you try adding stringers to see where it's wrong and adjust the shape to suit, next put the chine stringer on and see how much you have to add to number 5, or you could plank over the bulkhead and put the infill in later, most of model making is trying to get over the designers cock up's this would appear to be Mine

Hi Ray, I wanted to post pictures of my completed version of your Osprey. Since Osprey is a day trip boat, I decided to name mine Day Tripper! This was my first attempt without a kit, and I am very pleased with the results. The boat is radio controlled, it gets up on plane very quickly, and handles very well! Thanks again for sharing your plans!

Randy, superb job, she looks spot on. A few passengers and a helmsman would really bring her to life.

I'm afraid I have to mention one thing though, I hope it doesn't disappoint too much. You have the navigation lights the wrong way round, the red lamp goes on the port side, left looking forward and the green lamp goes on the starboard side, right side looking forward.

Thanks for the compliment Richard and thank you for noticing that I have my navigation lights mixed up! I don’t think that I’ve ever done that before, and I’m really surprised that no one else brought that to my attention! At you gave me a little chuckle, and I will correct my mistake! (I’ve done worse)

Thanks so much for sharing the photos of your Day Tripper, she looks great and sounds like a lively performer, in relative terms there are to my knowledge relatively few models made from the free plans compared to the circulation of the magazine, If you fancy a sail boat next the January 2023 issue has another of my designs Eventide maybe worth a look ?

The great thing about freelance designs is you make it up as you go along, I have found scale models can drag you down with just how much detail to include ………..

Slow progress as limited time and working on another wee model. Decided to add detail so planking the deck with coffee stirrers. Coming out quite nice. Hull belting fitted and epoxy coated. Sanding and painting next.
