a big hello to all captains and sailors!!!

so somel time ago i was taken ill when i was 16 and have loved boats eversince i was little

just before taken ill , i bought the magazine which had a free plan with it , 6 months later i built the semi scale war ship and was very happy and had many hours even days of fun out of it

i cant remember what happened to it but id love to build another one

so being 26 youd think id now have the sckil to build a lot more advanced ship but i always remember the war ship being a fun easy going ship to build

my questtion to you is …..

can i get the plans again?

the magazine that had them in was the 2002 november edition i think but i cant be 100% sure on that

i believe it was named the

      USS HENLEY ????

if anyone could point me in the right direction or have the plans for sale , i would really appreciate it

      many many thanks

      Ashley

          Ashley,

You may be thinking of Glynn Guest's plan of the USS Hanley. The plans and also a woodpack for this model are available from MyHobbyStore here: **LINK**&=

          Hope this helps,

          Colin

            Ashley

cant say im impressed with the wood kit

i ordered the plans some 3-4 weeks ago and they havent arrived yet

anyway , i built it up as i remembered , to find out im totally rubbish at building balsa models. it is how ever . floating and running. i some how warped the side walls and building the super structure is a major task for me

im a bit reluctant to order the plans for the cargo ship

                  can anyone give me hope?

                    Ashley

It helps a great deal if you have the plans, article (with GG's copious assembly photos) and the wood pack all together before you start. MHS are usually very prompt at sending out plans so there is clearly a hiccup here.
By all means order the cargo ship plans but make sure you're all prepared (as above) before you take the cap off the glue. – and follow the instructions. The bloke who designed it has made at least one more of them than you have……………..

                    Good luck.

                      Hi Ashley,

You certainly shouldn’t have to wait 3-4 weeks for a plan if you could email me on [email protected] with your order number I will chase this up with our printers and ensure its despatched ASAP.

                      Kind Regards

                      Cheryl
