need more movement from the servo for the rudder

hi. I am building a model submarine and there is little room for a long servo control arm in the hull. I need to increase the movement that the servo gives. is there a way that I can fit something in between the servo arm and the rudder arm to give more movement. at the moment all I am getting is around 1cm of movement at the rudder end. thanks

I suggest that you connect the pushrod to a hole on the tiller arm which is nearer to its pivot point. It's less expensive than buying one of these **LINK**

Or you could fit an intermediate arm which increases the available throw. Do note that it also reduces the power, and that all joints should be as slop-free as possible.
