What kind of help do you need? Financial contributions? Or do you need someone to go down to the shops for you…?

The radios will all be much the same size. For control, the steering servo will be the "standard" size, you might get away with a similar one for the sail control, but a higher torque version in the same size package would probably be better. Nothing special, just make sure that whatever you buy says "full range" since a lot of the lower cost offerings are "park flyer" short range sets.

It is getting to the stage where there are precious few shops on the flatlands, either. If you do enough reading on forums like this, there is a wealth of information today, as opposed to way back when, when there was a lot of shops, but little useful information easily available.

Hi Richard ,,You have come to the best place to get advice on most things regarding boat building.

I would advice you to first build the model and enjoy what you will create ,getting involved in in radioeetc before your sure that this is what you want.

As Paul said get a radio 2 channel as unless you are going to add lights and sound systems anything with more channels may be a waste of money

Good luck with your build wink Michael

Hi Richard 27 means ,27 MHz transmitter and you will need a receiver to match ,cars have 40 MHz ,aeroplanes are 35 MHz ,but we now use 2.4 GHz ,shop online speak to people and get the best deal that you can afford ! My personal choice would be a futarba 6exa 2.4 as its simple to use ,one tx 6 model memory ,..mark
