          Dave,
I agree, a very nice model and looks like an interesting project, particularly the power plants which I believe are water jets. Does the model have a good top speed?  ie are the jets worth the cost?

Having retired very recently i am converting my garage into a workshop with heating so i have more room for this fascinating hobby.
At present looking at Virgin Atlantic Challenger, looks very fast & very smart.

The Virgin Atlantic challenger is an awesome thing. Having seen one on our pond charge around at a fair lick (water jets and all) I was minded for something largish and so bought the Fantome..mainly because its a tad cheaper, ok a LOT cheaper.

You cant beat a large boat for looking good when going fast on the water..its a bit more realistic in its behaviour than a light RtR go-fast, or similar .
