Is there a paint type/colour which gives the effect of Steel? I don't want to use aluminium because well it looks like aluminium! Any ideas chaps?
Paul
Hi Paul
Try Galvafroid
The spray product is used in construction and electrical installations to repair chips and scrapes to galvanised steel.
This small tin is under a tenner.
Hope this helps
I believe Humbrol do a range of metallic paints in a can, when dried rub to get the metallic shine.
Kimmo.
HI Paul
Look at pound shops, they have paint for 'steel wheels' looks good covers well with out runs if you spray in the warm, light coats and keep shaking the tin to keep the bits mixed.
Mark
The Humbrol paint worked really well and looks very realistic when buffed up. Nice one Kimmo.
