      Help from any one.

Are there any plans or kits for the Leander-class light cruisers built 1933 – 1936.

My interest is HMS Neptune, as a relative was lost on this ship. I am not sure but think tha Ajax was of the same class. My skills are not that good so some details would be good.

Hope I have done this the correct way

      Regards Ken

            Hello Ken.

These drawings of HMS Neptune are available on Blueprints.com

              004.jpg001.jpghi there Ken

plans for HMS Ajax or the Leander class are available from David MacGregor's plans service which are held by Bristol ship society (I believe) I think they may be releasing the MacGregor drawings. Also, there is another Company who have the Leander Class drawings, but, its over in USA now – and if you contact John Haynes – John has also built HMS Ajax – will be able to put you in touch with the folk who do the plans. Here are a couple of shots of the Ajax which I built a little while ago (hope I have managed to get them uploaded). The hull alongside HMS Ajax is HMS Exeter which I am in the process of building right now.

              Aye, John

                Thanks for the help.

Have searched 'David MacGregor', a lot of references to the name and of his plans but nothing specific. How do I cintact John Hynes? As you have built Ajax, where did you aquire the plans?

Hi ya there if you do a google search for John R Haynes (ship modeller) that should bring up his website. Also, the David MacGregor plans are held by the SS Great Britain Trust. They also have a website – hope this is of some help.

                    Hi John

                    Thanks for the links.

Contacted John R Haynes. He has a 1/196 plan for Ajax by Norman Oughs which he is going to copy and send on. Thats a start.

                    Thanks for the help

                    Ken
