Large Rc Yachts

New to the forum hope someone can help.

 

Recently considered a return to Rc Yachts.  Last time made the Billings Dragen which was
about 30” long.

 

Fell in love with the  Tamiya Yamaha 40 EX
Cruiser Yacht which I think is about   24” long, but this is
discontinued now.

Does anyone know, are there any kits,
or plans, similar to the Yamaha 40. 
Thinking more scale model I guess, than class types that are over the 1 metre
Length.

 

I guess I like the larger size
model because the Models can seem dwarfed in the water. I guess the 36” length
becomes a practical size for handling, or is it more to do with manufacture, or
both.

 

I have searched the internet and
found the Robbe Smaragd/Estelle and Grapner Rubin.

 

Would welcome any comments on
size question.  Thanks in advance for any
Help.

Try the Robbie range I think form memory that the Smareg which is a scale yacht it over 36ins and sails beautifully
