i saw the prog over the weekend..great history in the ol’ girl, even if she is a replica…….go on bob, get her built…you know you want too.

Bob, you have good eyesight spotting The pickle out there!! 

 

The program about it was quite good. One of the naval establishments has a “pickle night” dinner if memory serves. I wondered what the fascination with  vinegary comestables was until I had a surf!!

I didn`t know it was the Pickle at the time………till I got home!

 

Nobody I asked on the quay knew what it was either!

 

By shear coincidence, a friend sent me the little film mentioned above……and it clicked!

 

Apparently……..The ship is now laid up and is for sale!

 

Take a look at the film….it`s worth watching!
