Slowly wading my way through the Amethyst from deans marine and to be honest i an disappointed in this kit as deans are a No 1 company in the uk .

Heres what i am not happy with The ships boats could have had more detail in them and the instructions can be as clear as mud .I am not putting Deans down by no mans as i think they are a great company with a great range of kits BUT i wish they were clearer .

Hi Andy, I completly see where you are coming from on this. Great company, fantastic range, and they build into good models. Very helpfull with any difficulties as well.
But, on my Emden, and apparently others, the instructions, and drawings were very poor.
Others in our club metion the castings as well. It seems to vary quite a bit, I can’t help wondering if some consolidation of improvements would be preferable to another model release.
Still love the models tho, and I am a modeler so I can put up with a lot to get the result I want.
