Hello All,

After two years of trying, I have finally managed to acquire a Graupner Tina kit and mechanism. It came with the instructions for the mechanism but not the instructions for the boat kit. While it looks fairly straightforward and I could probably just work off the plan, I would like to have the instructions.

Can anyone help me with a copy?

Afternoon Tony,

I had a similar problem with Vegesack that was my first ever boat build, the box said with English instuctions, but only German was in the box. Contacted the supplier , who wasn’t very helpfull, e-mailed Graupner who reponded with a profomer invoice for English instructions, being a tight fisted Yorkshireman I said thanks but no thanks. The kits now finished , its ok for a first go, my next kit is made in Barnsley !

I have just purcahsed a Tina Graupner model boat, without the rowing mechanism, I am expecting it within next couple of days and then I can send you a copy of the instructions. My question is where do you think that I can find the rowing mechanism?

I am delighted that you may be able to help me. I was going to email you directly but the site says that you do not have a public profile – I gather that means I cannot email you in the first instance. Can you please email me so that we may discuss how I might get a copy of the instructions from you.

It is going to be difficult for you to get the rowing mechanism separately from the kit. Most people bought them together and both have been out of production for many years. The best hope I can offer you is to have a standing search on eBay worldwide – that is how I eventually got my Tuina kit. You could also post requests on as many model boat forums as you can.

I tried to fix the problem with my profile (please check), but in any case as soon as I will have the instructions in my hands I will inform you. In case I can scan them I wll send them to you by e-mail, otherwise I will send them to you by normal post.

I just received the packet. Unfortunately the plans are on German. But there is a small book with instructions(no photos) in English. Do you want to scan it?

I hope you got the last message I sent you after hearing that your Tina has arrived. In case you did not, I would be very pleased if you could copy the instructions for me. I have the plan. It is the instructions I do not have. If you can scan the instructions and send them to me at [email protected] that would be great.

You may be interested to look at this auction currently on German eBay – it is for a Tina kit with TWO mechanism sets:
