Glasgow boat clubs

During the 1980s I stayed in the Glasgow area and ,along with my two sons, had many an enjoyable day skiing our rather modest models at Queens Park and Rouken Glen. I recall QP was mainly RN models whereas RG was Steamer orientated. I will be in Glasgow shortly and would be interested in a visit to theslocations if the venues are still up and running Cheers Hector

Hi Hector ,as far as i know both clubs are still active ,if you do a google search for them it will give you phone and

e-mail contacts for them .give them a phone for the best time to go then there is a better chance to see some models in action . regards sammyk

I am afraid Queens Park is not really a club any more… it is only 1 person….

there are clubs at Richmond Park, elder Park and Knightswood park sailing most sundays

Roukenglen is still on the go but it sails on a saturday.
