It's an extra one Dave, outside the 13 issues that subscribers get, so so I'm afraid you'll have to raid the new workshop budget!

I have to admit that I also thought that the special issue came as part of the subscription.

Never mind I will have to raid Daves new workshop budget and get one ordered.

I have been dissapointed but for a different reason,I support my local newsagent as if he closes we lose another corner shop..My problem is I cannot avail of all the segments of this forum(do I really have to make a subscription to the magazine .)My specila edition of mag will be in the shop Friday morning and I,m looking forwards to a few nights of peruseing and serching for a new project

As stated above, the Plan Features Special Edition is an extra standalone promotional issue and not included in the subscription. As with previous 'Specials' It is available directly from MyHobbyStore or retail from most larger branches of W.H. Smith from around 31st August. Some other local newsagents may also stock it. These Specials are not necessarily published every year but they do provide the opportunity to include themed content for which there would not be space in the regular magazine.

Your normal subscription to Model Boats includes 12 regular monthly issues plus an an Autumn bumper edition published at the end of October so you always get 13 issues as opposed to the 12 of our competitor and more pages, content and free plans too!

Thanks, chaps, but I now have a copy coming from Danny @ MHS. Having shelled out two hundred and fifty quid on a half-page colour advert probably had something to do with it………………… Not the cheapest way of getting one, for sure!
As for my new workshop budget, the £610 I got from selling the old wooden one has gone to Nottingham City Council's Planning and Building Control departments (£543 – for nothing) and E-Bay (£61 commission). Do the maths, Paul; that's left me just £6 up – and I'm gonna keep it ALL!
