FAAM Model Show 13th Feb.

I visited this show on Saturday last. It was very well supported but unfortunately I don’t think the the “substantial model BOATING presence” forecast in Jan MB actually materialised. A pity really since those working model boats that were actually present were of a high standard and I gained some valuable information from the builders.

The flying display was first class.

I went too and there seemed to be fewer model boat club stands than the last time I went 2 years ago.  Highlight for me was the Surface Warship Association where I had achance to see inside a working 1/35th S-100 S Boat and see Roy Skeates latest superb 72 ft Vosper MTB in progress.   I hate the dim lighting in the main hall so the fact that many of the boats were in the Swordfish centre bit was a bit of a relief!
