Has anyone got the basic data on the T12 and T24 motors that are sold by Mobile Marine ? By basic data I mean No Load rpm, No Load current, Stall current – all parameters measured with nominal voltage applied to the motor terminals. I am assuming that the "12" and "24" in the motor titles refer to the nominal design voltage. Also the weight of these motors.

Have you asked Mobile Marine Models? If they cannot or won't supply that data, then I would suggest you don't buy them, since that sort of information is essential to make the correct choice for your model.

            Paul,

Thank you for responding. No I haven't contacted Mobile Marine – I thought I would try on this website first. I'm not in the market for motors at present but I use Mark Beard's Excel application and have expanded upon the list of motors for which he obtained the data (now got 87 on the "Motors" worksheet – though many of these may not be readily available or are too expensive for model boat constructors – Mark had 28 motors on his Worksheet). All of the motors are of the "brushed" type though there is no reason for excluding "brushless". For those wanting a relatively low operating rpm (say 2,000 rpm) and large torque (say 150 mNm) the choice is fairly limited particularly if you don't want a 1 kilogram motor of 70mm diameter ! Obviously you can match propeller to motor with a gearbox but that tends to be noisy and inefficient.
