I just thought I`d mention the above show!!!!!!!!!!!

It`s on TODAY!………………….. At Eiries Park pool……………..Colwyn Bay

Ducky, wives and myself will be there and I shall be sailing the GREAT EASTERN

“A Model World” and “Compent Shop”and a few other stalls will be attending

The show is being run by Ray Benson……………….ex Etherow club member

I would just like to say a big thank you to the Colwyn bay club for the invite (via Stavros)

to allow me the chance to exhibit some of my boats and to demo straight running, steam powered of course !!!!!!!. I hope all folk enjoyed seeing what a high speed steam boat can do. Best of show for me had to be Bobs “Great Eastern” which looked and perforned just like the real thing (not that I remember of course I’m-not that old—–)and I now know the secrect how it does—-ssssshhhhhhhh.

Well done to Ray et al for a great day–heres to next year year

Sorry no pics as I seem to have run out of time talking, drinking tea ( I do like my tea) and playing boats.

Thanks Phil (and Stavros) for your kind words regarding Great Eastern, and thanks for bringing her in, when the battery failed

I should think, your straight line steam running would be good training for a goalkeeper!

It looked hard work catching the beast at full speed!

Great Show Colwyn Bay Club ,the fact that you were let down by a trader didn’t retract from the overall show and thanks to everyone for their hard work and it goes without saying “That includes the ladies” for their hard work and comitment in the refreshment tent !!.

Looking foreward to next one ,but sit back and have a rest ……but don’t sit on your laurels a it only crushes them you know.

Phil Abbott couldn`t understand why she was not rolling about?…….until he saw the 40lb keel!
