Calder Craft – James Braidwood

A few Years ago I aquired an unbuilt James Braidwood, I have attented a few shows since but have never seen this boat on display, Speaking to Jotika only about 50 were ever made and they have been unable to find the original plans, which although not essential would be nice to have. I find it hard to believe that 49 kits have all vanished.. So any help in finding some pictures of an actual kit would be great, a Copy of the instructions would be even better.. I will post a few pictures I do have. These picture are not of the kit but a company in the US who make High Quality Statics.

If its any help the original boat was built by J Samuel White and Co from the Isle of Wight and although the business closed in 1966 the company archive survived and is held by Cowes Maritime Museum, they might have more information or even a set of drawings.

If that doesn't work there are enough images of the model available to enable a retro-design, which could be quite fun especially as information gained would enable a change of scale and the design of a new larger version.
