If you need an upgrade on performance I have found although fairly similar, a speed 400 (graupner for instance) will provide that small extra and simply bolt in place, but you know that already.

 

A good choice, those 380 motors are feisty units, and the MFA ones come ready wired and suppressed and are cheap.

 

See my pictures, my torpedo boat doesn`t hang around on exactly this combination AND with a 4Ahr Gel battery. The 4 foot battlecruiser has two 380`s on 25mm props and is well quick, again on 6v.
