        Hi fellow modelers

Bryon Calverley and I ( John Callin aka Bill Freeman ) have just added some new photos to an existing BLOG which many may find interesting. You may recognize the name Bryon Calverley as he has had four models published in the MB magazine in the past 18 months. They include the ELBE lightship, Clyde Puffer, troller and his first submission a large tug SS Master. I am the photographer who has the good fortune to support Bryon in his publications.

I have joined forces with Bryon and we now upload both of our model photos to the same blog. We are at different ends of the model boat hobby. Bryon builds highly detailed scale from plans whereas I design my own models utlizing a unique construction methodology..

If you enjoy scale models, Bryon is the man. If you enjoy models with a difference, or happen to be a novice builder my fleet of freelance models may interest you.

I invite you to visit our updated BLOG and comment should you wish to know more.

        BLOG can be found at

        Cheers from Bryon and John

            Hello Chas

Thank you for taking the time to comment. Your suggestion is appreciated. In fact the 39in series of my

freelance designs was destined for the magazine as Graham Ashby took an interest in the freelance concept.

Graham is an excellent communicator and it was tempting to go that route. His comments were very motivating, I thought about that option for a month but decided to gauge the response to an unusual construction methodology.. The reason I chose the BLOG over the magazine was to allow some graphic freedom as the magazine was limited to high res images ( 6MB plus ) only rather than composite graphics at the KB range..In order to fully explain HOW I create interchangeable decks would demand explanatory graphics.

I will seriously consider your suggestion in the next week as those composite graphics will be suitable for the forum. I first must decide how I am going to graphically present that methodology.

            Cheers and best wishes.

            John

I think you'll find the magazine very helpful in resolving any issues over image resolution, I did.

Meanwhile, why not give us an idea about what you are doing, sharing on a forum is a great way to spread ideas and get feedback.
