I am afraid its not QUITE as good as it looks in the picture, also not forgetting it has flat sides, which doesnt matter when in the water but looks worse on dry land. It should look convincing in the pond as the top is a reasonable shape. It didnt take that long but you have to be careful, as if you take too much off its a bit difficult to out it back on. i have painted it a fetching shade of dark grey now and the problem with working in wood has manifested itself…too much grain on the sides. I dont know whether to pollyfilla it orknifing putty it…or just sand/undercoat/sand etc etc. I may go for the readymix/quick dry polyfilla.
