Hi guys,

what dia props should a 1.24 Perkasa have the model has 2 x Graupner 700BB motors

William. The1 /24 "dark biter"kit has 35mm props supplied. I am not sure but this may be the right size scale-wise.

I have no experience of the 700bb but I would think that allowing up to 45mm props in your build might be appropriate and allow for some experimentation. As a rule of thumb, a prop not exceeding the can diameter is the rule, so at 44mm can size of the 700…..

A quick surf suggests 40mm as the right sort of size on 12v (assuming this is the 12v version). What type of props are you going to use, brass or plastic 2 bladers?

Some one out there must have fitted similar motors ??

Hi Ashley

thankyou for the reply,I have just recently bought the model, it came ready built,…as it was part of a desceased,s estate,The props that came with it are indeed 35mm they have what i call the witches hat centre boss,the 700BB Turbo motors only have 8.4v stamped on them…so i,m going to run them on that voltage,i,ve been advised to use 2 x batteries in parallel to give me a longer run time,…
