I have a 49" grp hulled perkasa that i plan to use the following motor and esc in

      http://www.componentshop.co.uk/60a-marine-v3-waterproof-brushless-motor-speed-controller-esc.html

      http://www.componentshop.co.uk/lc4250-5t-960kv-leopard-outrunner-brushless-motor.html

I also have a LiPo battery ( that is for a high power / high drain spotlight) the spec as follows

      11.1v 9200mah

sizes in mm approx 110x80x30 weight approx 530g

would this battery be suitable to run the above motor ? bearing in mind that I don't know how many cells it is made from ( though I could find out)

      Thanks

          Hi Rob

The ESC only 60Amps and that motor specs requires 75Amps, so, go to a 100 Amp ESC to be safe.

          The battery is 3 cell (11.1 volts), 4cell(14.8 volts), 5 cell(18.5 volts) and 6 cell(22.5 volts).

            Hi Rob

What is the estimated weight of the completed model?

hI Paul as yet I have no idea.

Its an unstarted kit at present. I do plan to reduce weight as much as poss by replacing the upper woodwork but that depends on the motor / battery etc.

Harry – so it seems it would be ok with a bigger esc ?

              and thanks
