      Hello,

I use a Digifleet FPS-24B speed controller, fitted with the supression kit,  with a Marlin type electric motor in a Fairy Swordsman, an old aerokits model. What ever I do, I cannot stop the motor starting to run when I activate the rudder.  Any ideas about how to cure this would be appreciated.

      Regards, John.

ok ive had the same problems in the past

what i was told to keep the reciver as far away from the speed controller

and keep the speed controller as far away from the motor and

also keep the arial as far away from every thing (staright up works for me)

          Hello Jake,

I agree with what you say but the degree of separation is dependant on the size of the model.  However,  matters are  much improved now that I have switched to a Futaba computer controled 2.4Ghz transmitter and receiver.

           Regards,

           John.

Does the switch to 2.4 Ghz completely eliminate all interference problems or should one continue to follow the advice outlined by Dave Brumstead in this Model Boats article (winter 2010 issue) to keep motor supply voltage wiring away from receiver output wiring and the aerial away from proximity to the motor?
