      Hi All

I eventually bought an ARTR: an Our Lass II from Deans Marine. I bought a radio and receiver, bound them and connected evrything up (correctly, I believe) and switched on. The rudder just moved fully to the right then wouldn't move. I connected the servo just to (Turnighy) servo tester and get the same result. If if switch everything off and manually move the servo to a "centre" position and reconnect to the tester, it justs goes fully to the right then stops.

I just wanted to ask the experts before contacting Deans Marine. Do I have a faulty servo? Is it just not set up correctly? What should I do next? Thanks.

I can't think of any reason why a servo would do that unless it was faulty. I would advise you simply to copy the content of your posting above and send it to the supplier with a polite request that they replace the offending item. I don't think you'll have a problem.

I can remember someone at the pond having same issue He had plugged the servo into the battery position and not one of the channels on the reciever.

            I am not saying, but…

Ah, but the servo tester produced the same result, Hastings! The little grey cells they do not fail Poirot,

                Thanks, Poirot & Hastings.

I thinks it's back to Deans Marine!

                Cheers

                  Hi All

Deans Marine replaced the servo – it was indeed faulty. All working fine now and enjoying the sailing.
