I’m asking in the hope that someone may have a plan to build a Beccles Coiler, as used on Seine net fishing Vessels in the 50’s 60’s and 70’s.If not any good photos or drawings would be appreciated.

                                                I’m a member of the trawler photos website, I thought I might cast my nets in another forum to see what I could trawl up.  I got some pics and sketches from BillMaca, I’ve also been in touch with Alan Block of AG Block Sales the manufacturer of the coiler, the reply I got back from him was rather suprising ………..he could not give me a copy of the drawings as the manufacture of coilers is still an ongoing business, and he said he could supply a complete coiler or any part required.

If I could get 3 or 4 photos of the same coiler plus a couple of correct dimensions, I could get the rest using my proportional dividers, and produce a workable drawing for myself and others to use. I’m a trained marine engineering draughtsman /designer who has been doing this for close to 50years.
