Hi Jane,

I'm afraid that the buy and sell facility on this site is for regular contributors only as the topic heading makes clear. You would be better off placing the item on EBay or similar but I wouldn't expect to get very much for it. Model boats don't attract very high prices as a rule.

i wasnt looking to sell on this site just wanted some infomation i have researched veron kits by phil smith and i am a toy collector antique that is 'i cant seem to find a date for the boat ,ibuy and sell toys models privately at toy fairs i bought the boat out of curiosity along with some model boat books from the 50,s sorry to offend you i had hoped someone into model boats would have liked it as a piece of history i collect teddy bears steiff that is and the best place to buy one privately is in our website and we welcome the oppatunity to buy something we may not have i will email phils son chriss for the infomation .i must add on your site alot of your members were asking about this boat but as you speak for them there is no point putting a picture on for their interest .

Hi Jane,

As you will appreciate, this is a commercial site and the forum facility is essentially 'donated' by MyTimeMedia Ltd. Recently we have had a number of instances of people registering simply to sell items cheaply and thus avoiding the commission charged by the usual auction sites. If we were to allow this to happen on a general basis the forum would tend to become a free 'bring & buy' facility which is not what it was intended for. Your original post did seem to imply that you wanted a vaulaution with the intention of making a sale so I'm sure you will understand the reason why I have deleted your post.

However, I'm happy to confirm that the Veron Police Boat kit was generally advertised during the 1960s by the company with no specific date. There is only a very limited market for items of this type and my guess is that you would be lucky to get £50 for it but the best way is to test the demand on Ebay or similar.
