Our friend Mattias "Banjoman" Hallin has very kindly compiled my 2014 article into a single PDF file, complete with diagrams and photographs. This 36-page marathon describes the difference between AM, FM and PWM signals. It covers the advent of 2G4 radios and then goes on to describe in depth the workings of each part of the system i.e. transmitter, receiver, battery pack and servo. Radios from simple 2-channel to multiplexed and computerised systems are dealt with. Finally there are recommendations for each type of system and a note on buying direct from overseas.
If you would like a copy of this article then just send me a Private Message with your regular E-Mail address. My thanks to Banjoman for his herculean efforts!

          I second that!

          A very nice gesture

          Well done, Banjo

            Dave,

That was a pleasure, not an herculean effort (a term I reserve for things that take me at least a whole day; this only took half a one, if that … ). It is rather I who thank you for your willingness to share this extremely useful information!
