explanation of vibration modes in off-centre driveshafts
This video provides a bit of an explanation as to why vibration can occur on the jointed driveshafts that we sometimes use:

This is why you use a c.v joint over a u.v joint in drive shafts. Does anyone produce scale size c.v joints? Maybe I will start making them.
You can get Double Cardans, which are CV, but use quite a lot of space….
