I had the same problem, but given the 'cheap and cheerful' nature of this beast I I didn't even bother trying to get 'spares' – I just took one of the existing sets out to copy. The set is just an odd shaped plastic arm and a spring so I made a close copy from a couple of bits of thick plastic card and a spring I had in my bits and bobs. I say close copy because the only spring I had was a little long, even when worked over to get the right sort of tension, so I had to make the place where it hooked onto the arm higher up. Works fine though.

Access is easy – just remove the four screws at the rear of the tx and the back comes off (though still connected by a few wires) revealing all the mechanisms for the levers.

I would have thought it hardly worth the bother as I recently purchased 2 of these sets, inc rx, for the huge sum of £15 and both are in perfect working order. THAT WELL KNOWN AUCTION SITE DOES HAVE IT'S USES !!

It's not a case of wanting to repair a faulty one – I'd be inclined to your view there – but as they come out of the box the left stick up/down is ratcheted while the other three motions are spring to centre. If you want all four ways sprung you could shell out for a whole unit to get the two bits needed … or you can be a modeller and make them up as I, and I've heard Doug too now, have done.

There is also a problem with buying units for 'spares' – storage! 'Cos once you've extracted the bit(s) you need you aren't going to chuck the rest out are you? embarrassed
