Never had any experience with these, curious as to the length of draw they have? Are there any with around 200mm? Or would I need to make my own drum?

The typical travel of a Hitec 785 sailwinch is around 450 mm using the supplied drum. The Kingmax 6 turn units supplied by Component Shop are around 475 mm with the supplied drum.

If you have a transmitter which has a servo travel adjust facility, the travel could be set up to 200 mm if you wish. Alternative standalone devices like the Servomorph can also be used to adjust the travel (and speed) of a sailwinch..
