Hello, I'm new here, when I was a child (more than 20 years ago) I purchased a model boat from an antiques market. me and my father went about making it RC and it worked well for me as a child.

The boat is a German torpedo boat. Through my research , using the numbers and words on the ship, i found that is is a Graupner Dachs Schnellboot model. with a number P6094

The model I have is in a bit of a state and some bits are damaged and missing.

The reason for this post is that i am wondering if any one can help me find the instructions or manual for this boat.

If you need any more information I will try my best to answer them.

this is an image i found on the internet

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi Aidan. Welcome to the forum.

Pictures of the boat or something similar will be plentiful on the forum as a guide to missing parts, and suppliers will have stacks of stuff suitable for fitment even If these parts are not original equipment

Presumably your father “did his own thing” in making it radio control? and the gear will likely be dated so any instructions similarly will be dated although possibly useful if the gear works still when you connect a battery!

Are there any old batteries and so on with it?

          Ashley

Well I want the instructions for a couple of reasons. One, it would be nice to know a bit more about the boat I got when I was younger. Two, there are parts missing but not major parts, I wouldn’t know what to call the parts for replacements etc. Three, the photos online all include different items, different details in lots of different locations on the boat. Also lots of different paint jobs.

The remote control part of the whole thing is minimal. It was done a while ago but is still functional the instructions are not really needed for that part.

I know the instructions are mainly for construction of the model kit but I still think it would be useful for me to have them.

Hi Aidan and welcome. If you can't find a copy from people on here, try emailing Graupner, they have had many changes over the years, but you might be lucky. Second idea, there are some great modelers in Germany and this was a popular model there, try asking on one of the German forums, I'm sure there will be some kind person who'll help. If, like me your German language skill is bad or non existent, just use Google translate. Modelers always like to help each other, wherever they live.

Hi Aidan. I have attached a link to a PDF of the instructions for the Graupner Wiesel, basically the same boat as the Dachs, they are both Zobel Class boats. In German of course, but as said before Google Translate does a fair job.

                Cheers, Terry.

                  Hello Aidan,

I don't know if you were successful in finding the information about the Dachs. In that case I want to let you know that I have an unfinished model and the remainder of the kit that I purchased 50 years ago – yikes, time does fly! If you still need information, please get back to me at [email protected].

                  Gunther
