          Hi Bob,

Top work, as always, we love the ships cat 🐱😀

The ship is a fine example of your craftsmanship.

          Regards Ray

Thanks, the painting and cat are all in correct proportion, because my wife used the profile plan of the actual ship at 4 feet to 1 inch as reference, and the cat was our own. I built the model though – Bob

Lovely image Bob. I really like it.

It reminds me of a photo I took of a full size sailing ship in France some years back

The rigging is most impressive, Bob

                One of your best?

Any reason for the change in format……No sea this time?

Thanks for replies. I built the Medea years ago – just average really. I have always built an equal number in sea or full hull, it just depends on what I feel like at the time. This is a more recent one, and far superior, but hardly anyone seems to be able to tell the differnce!surprise

Like the watercolour Bob and your model of course. A talented partnership.

Photography fulfils my artistic side. This is the closest that I've taken in that vein!

                      Hi All,

I think vessels generally benefit from a lucky creature, in this case Snowy, Tintin's famous companion on my tug Cullamix , my Thames sailing barges have lucky dogs, can't race without them

Very nice. We have visiting cat that turns up every day that is virtually identical to the one in the boat!smiley

My wife made a lot of long voyages with me when I was at sea, and her grandfather was a sailing ship seaman, So we do have shared nautical interest.

Ray – nice photo of Snowy on the boat as well –
