Hi All

After a number of times going to my test area, the high tide was too low to run a boat.

So I finally ordered this airboat !!!

No de constructions, but, very easy to assemble( instructions on line).

Who reads instructions, that is the last thing you look at !!!

To save a bit I did not order the battery as I had a 3S 1500MAH one.

Yes it's a upgrade from 2S, but, do not build standard boats.

The servo that came with the boat is rubbish so I install a 4.5 KG one from my parts box.

With the very limit space in the radio compartment the ESC is mount on the safety cage.

Also the ESC has no reverse, dam hairy plane stuff !!!

Flight 101 departs Saturday morning weather depending!!!

Hi All

Flight 101 departed late Saturday afternoon with no wind or waves!!!

You drive it in a semi control way with it skipping over the water in the turns.

Like driving a drift car or hovercraft !!!

On the third 3S 1500mah battery I got a bit better at controlling the beast.

Only lasted about five minutes per battery, but, they are all new ones.

I was not game to test it at boating Saturday morning.

I did what to hit other boats or make an idiot of myself !!!

So I cruise around with the Hellen, but, that is another story.

Well done Harry.

I put a small skeg at the stern on the Ecranoplan and this helps enormously in keeping some sort of course. Before it was very erratic.

Hi Ashley

Straight line is OK with small input, but, prop swing I think is the problem.

I have a 3 blade 5" prop to try.

I will play around with of weight on the bow or a small wing on the bow because of all the air trapped under the bow.

Oh, I remembered I have a 4S 1300mah 40C battery I must try that too !!!

Hi All

As it's the last few days before Australia's 10% tax on all imported goods(under a $1000 was free).

I ordered a more power motor(no specs on the one that came with the boat), also a 50Amp ESC(no reverse).

Going try the standard motor on 4S and if it smokes so be it !!!

May try a small skeg like plastic T section from the hobby shop.

Hi All

Ran Swampy on 4S today, not a lot more speed.

No smoking motor.

The vero-tape holding the servo came loose, so I call it a day .
