Just thought I would share a few pictures of a wooden Pirate Ship I made for my Grandson a couple of years ago. Unfortunately it doesn't sail but has some small ball castors for running on the floor.

My Grandson thought it was wonderful, big smile on his face for all of one minute, then 'Where is the gangplank?'.

How could Granddad forget that all Pirate Ships must have a gangplank! One was made for him ..

Tim. That's a delightful toy indeed, and the addition of castors raises it up a level of sophistication.

It is not so easy as it looks, making toys, as you have to think like a child and imagine how the item will be played with. there needs to be room for all the figures (in this case) and small things like gang-planks.

Absolutely wonderful !!!! Reminds me of a toy boat I had in the 80s you never forget when you fell in love with boats !!! Who knows where it could lead ? My brother liked planes he's now a senior captain for virgin airways !!
