      Hi all.

      Having recently decided to get my Precedent Fairey Huntsman model back on the water for my 8 & 10 year old nephews I'm in need of replacing the windscreen.

      Purchasing the boat in 1984 one of the model shop chaps built the boat then my farther & I painted and fitted it out, since then the windscreen has become rather 'yellowed' in colour along with several cracks… and the bottom trim unstuck, si certainlky in need of some T.L.C.!

      I've had a snoop around ebay but can't seem to find anything suitable for a new screen, it's 0.5 mm thick and approximately 60cm long x 5.5cm, where can I buy the required sheet from?

          Now then Mark Ive just put in 0.5mmin clear plastic and found dozens of sellers. I have bought fron ebay and had no trouble cutting or bending it .If you have a problem get the wifes hair dryer ,job done wink

            Give SHG a ring 01785 840308. Although their catalogue only covers the smaller sheet size i.e. 12inch by 7.5 inch, they may be able to provide you with the name of a supplier that stocks the bigger sheet size i.e in old money you require 24 inch.

                  4D Model Shop specialises in absolutely everything to do with architectural models and stocks clear plastic in all sorts of sizes and thicknesses. Mail order is very rapid, or if you are in the London area, a visit to the shop in Aldgate is like going to Heaven if you are looking for materials and model making tools.
